This Buddha Temple near the river side of Karumadi known as "Karumadikuttan" (the son of Karumadi) believed to be built in 10th Century AD.

The Idol has one side of its body. The other side was teared out by an Elephant in earlier days.

It is a marvelous experience to the foreigners visiting the site.

House Boat is the main attraction in Alappuzha. You can hire house boats for one hour, a day or for days. Minimum cost for a day is around Rs.5000/- (medium boat) with all facilities like music, tv, ac bed rooms etc.
